Regardless of what they say, you can use the new leveling quests even if you just own vanilla.
In reality, the expansion is everything past level 80.

I hope so, I’m getting Cataclysm for christmas and I’m ready to give it another shot. I miss the old days when this game was still incredibly fun for me, really hope they switched it up enough though. Shits like crack lol always chasing that first high I guess.
