Visit mr. D’s. Μάρδα in Qatar and SFC Greece – Korea

1. A missed visit by Deputy minister of Foreign affairs, mr D. Μάρδα in Qatar (Doha, 21-22 May 2016)
The Secretary of state for Foreign affairs, responsible for international economic relations, mr. D. Μάρδας, visited Doha, 21 and 22 May, where she participated as a speaker in the International Conference “Doha Forum 2016”. During his speech, mr. Μάρδας referred to the geopolitical and γεωοικονομικές challenges facing Greece, as well as the recovery prospects of the Greek economy.
At the same time, during his visit to Doha, the Secretary of state has had contacts with the Minister of Economy and Commerce of Qatar, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Jassim Bin Mohammed Al Thani, the Assistant Foreign Minister, Soltan Bin Saad Al Muraikhi, as well as with the President of the καταρινής Authority of Public Works, mr. Nasser Ali Al Mawlawi. Mr. Μάρδας, also met with representatives of Greek contracting companies operating in Qatar.
2. A missed Joint Interministerial Committee of Greece and the Republic of Korea (Athens, 23 May 2016)
The second meeting of the Joint Interministerial Committee of Greece and the Republic of Korea, which συμπροέδρευσαν the Secretary of state for Foreign affairs, mr Dimitris Μάρδας and his counterpart, state Secretary for Foreign affairs, responsible for economic issues, mr. Taeho Lee, took place today in Athens.
The meeting was an important step to strengthen bilateral economic and trade cooperation between Greece and the Republic of Korea, as well as discussed, inter alia, issues of export promotion, shipping, rural development, promotion of Greek agricultural products in the Korean market, research and technology, technology sector, information technology and telecommunications, transport networks, energy and environment, tourism and aviation association Greece-Korea.
Finally, they discussed issues of empowerment here investment presence of Korea and at the same time, in the context of the effort of a wider Greek export presence in the Republic of Korea, agreed to the carrying out of a Greek business mission to Seoul, during the 4th quarter of 2016.
