The official meeting of the Head of the Greek Police with the Deputy Minister of Internal affairs of Georgia

Scheduled official meeting of the Head of the Greek Police, lt-gen Constantine Τσουβάλα with… A Deputy Interior Minister of Georgia, Besik Amiranashvili, took place today, 30 June 2016, in the “Pavlos Bakogiannis” of our Ministry.
During the meeting were discussed and analysed issues of mutual interest, mainly related to the strengthening of the police cooperation of the two countries, particularly in the area of tackling all forms of organised crime and the management of the migration and refugee problem.
Also, it was confirmed the very good level of response of the two sides and has become the common will for further improvement of the bilateral police cooperation.
The discussions were conducted in a very positive climate and the Deputy Minister of Internal affairs of Georgia extended an invitation to the Chief of the Hellenic Police to visit officially his country, which accepted in principle.
The meeting was attended by delegations of Officers and service agents of both sides. From the Greek side participated the Heads of the Directorates of Public Security and International Police Cooperation of the Headquarters, Brigadier general Panagiotis Κούμπουλας and Police Director Elias Ξανθάκης, respectively, the Director of the Division to Tackle Organised Crime and Trafficking in Human beings of the Directorate of Security of Attica, Officer, Director Fotios Γραικούσης, and as experts Deputy chief Χαλυβόπουλος George, of the Directorate of Public Safety Headquarters, and the Officer B Basil Κυριακόγλου, Attica Security division.
From the side of Agriculture, was attended by the Head of the Central Directorate of Criminal Police, Natriashvili David, the Head of the Centre for International Cooperation in the fight against Crime, Chikvaidze Levan, the Head of the department for Organised Crime, Dzagnidze Michael and the Police Attaché of the Embassy of Georgia in Athens, Mititanidi Ivave.
For the preparation of the current meeting, was held, yesterday at the Attica Security division, meeting of the technical teams of the two sides, with the participation of experts – members of the above representations, which were essentially the basis for further strengthening of bilateral operational cooperation, at the level of timely exchange and management of relevant information.
