Starts the 3rd International Documentary film Festival of Peloponnese

The doors opens the 3rd International Documentary film Festival of the Peloponnese on January 20, 2017 in Wisconsin and will last until …the 30th of January, while part of it will be hosted in other cities of the Peloponnese, including Argos, Sparta, Amaliada and the town of Gythio. This year the Festival is dedicated to the “Human Rights and the Refugee”.
The ten-day programme includes a panorama of 25 national and 50 foreign film productions, among them award-winning, last-2ετίας as well as a variety of related seminars. It is worth noting that 41 foreign films make their national premiere in Wisconsin within the Festival. All of the projections, the parallel events and seminars are free to the public.
Screening of the Human Rights and Refugee” is strengthened in the framework of the Operational Programme “Human Resources Development, Education and Lifelong Learning” and is co-financed by the european Union (European Social Fund) and national resources.
Special emphasis will be given this year in the educational band (for the student audience there is a special educational zone during the Festival, daily 9.m. with 1m.m) with program 3 theme: Human rights , Archaeology and Cultural Heritage, Ecology, where students will have the opportunity for dialogue with filmmakers.
Special events
Tribute with the theme “India-Gandhi – Yoga” will be held in cooperation with the ΕΛΙΝΕΠΑ (Greco-Indian Company for Culture and Development) and the group of Kriya Yoga – meditation SRF Kalamata.
Event for schools on Friday 27 January, we will connect via skype with a refugee camp in Lebanon in order to converse the students with the refugee children of Syria. The coordination of the Lucas Jedrzejak from M. Uk director of the documentary Ketermaya and official guest of the Festival.

More than 40 Greek and foreign directors from all over the world will be guests of the Festival. In particular from abroad will attend the Sybille Fezer, Daniel Burkholz and Vincent Förster from Germany, Richard Martin-Jordan and Patrick Imhaus from France (General Director of TV5-Monde), Dale Beaumont-Brown and Lucas Jedrzejak from M. Britain, Tony Richard Kahouche and Ali Mahmoud Tafech from Lebanon, Sahra Assadollahi and Razavi Seyed Mohammad from Iran, Ruslan Berndl & Thibaut Delaroche & Luca Potskhivili of Austria, Enea Gega from Turkey, Vadim Vitovtsev , Olga Shadrina, Svetlana Ignatenko and Olga Michi from Russia, Rajesh james from India and Flo Flamme from Belgium.
