Reduces the difference to the opponent party of Merkel

Social democratic Party of Germany (SPD) and the Christian democratic party (CDU) has losses of around 4% and is at 33%, according to a poll of Sunday’s Bild. After the announcement of the candidacy of Martin Schulz for the chancellery at the end of January, the distance between the two parties fell within a week from 14 to 4%.
Torsten Schneider – Lose, a researcher of the Institute of polling Emnid, which conducted the poll, told the German newspaper: “Martin Schulz manages to repatriate voters of the social democratic party and to mobilise them emotionally. Such a movement of party preferences within a week is something unique”.
The Greens and the Left are losing, respectively 2% and are at 8%, the probability of a red-red-green coalition lies within the range of probability because all three parties in aggregate with 45%, writes Bild.
Unchanged is in accordance with the same poll rates of the far-right – anti-european – populist-xenophobic party Alternative for Germany (AfD) and the Liberals (FDP) with 11% and 6%, respectively.
If the voters were allowed to directly elect chancellor, then the Άγγελα Merkel would receive 41% and Martin Schultz 38%. However, according to other-recent – poll of the first the German public broadcasting network ARD these rates would be overwhelmingly in favour of Martin Schulz (50%), since Merkel would receive only 34%.
