Europe will have the first of the csi graveyard

Amsterdam, the Netherlands is going to host the first crime (ταφονομικό) cemetery of Europe…
In this scientists will be able to study in peace the decomposition of human bodies in natural and not in laboratory conditions.
Research of this kind is expected to greatly help the forensic specialists and medical examiners, when such.x. trying to determine how long ago it was buried someone.
The Academic Medical Center of the Dutch city, announced that it has acquired the license to operate the first such cemetery in an area of 500 square meters – close in a store “Kentucky Fried Chicken” (whatever you mean to lose one’s appetite!).
It will be used by the researchers of the Centre and other scientists from universities and Forensics Institute of the Netherlands, in accordance with the “Science”.
The bodies will end up in that cemetery, after a donation, will be buried to a depth of up to a meter, along with various scientific instruments, which will make chemical analyses and will record the gradual decay, without the need for the scientists to open the grave to do their job.
A similar but much larger cemeteries there and in the USA (six until now), began operating last year in Sydney Australia (with the name of an Experimental Ταφονομικής Research) and another one is designed in Britain.
In the USA these cemeteries, where some of the bodies deliberately left to decompose in open space (something that does not happen in the Netherlands)- the name and “farms body”, a term that probably doesn’t inspire a lot of respect for the dead…
